LOS ALAMITOS

City officials will ask residents for their opinions on two divergent issues tonight: the proposed new site for the Orange County High School of the Arts and fees to be charged from those who use the new Board of Building Appeals.
The first issue is expected to draw dozens of people upset about the Los Alamitos Unified School District’s plans to build a new High School of the Arts on Bloomfield Avenue. Council members also will hear comments on plans to charge a $250 processing fee to appeal decisions of the city’s building inspector. They approved the creation of the three-member board in December.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 3191 Katella Ave. Given the expected crowd, seats and loudspeakers may have to be set up outside. Information: (562) 431-3538.
