CARSON — Chaminade High completed a busy week, winning its fourth boys’ basketball game in six days by defeating Los Alamitos, 51-44, on Saturday in the Double Pump Hoop Challenge at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
“Now we’re going to rest,” Coach Jeff Young of Chaminade said.
Scott Borchart had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Chaminade (14-3), which won three Mission League games last week before beating Los Alamitos.
Chris Canoles pulled down 13 rebounds for the Eagles, ranked No. 6 in the region by The Times.
Chaminade can’t rest too much. The Eagles play Alemany on Saturday in what could be a battle for first place in the league.
Andrew Pleick scored 21 points for Los Alamitos (13-6).
