The city’s first surfing tournament in years, the Surfline Seal Beach Surfing Championships, is set for the weekend. The event, which already has more than 150 entrants, starts Saturday at 7 a.m. and ends Sunday afternoon. Divisions include 10-and-under and 40-and-over, as well as a Legends heat honoring the pioneers of surfing, said event coordinator Jason Shook of the Seal Beach Lifeguard Assn.
