Several civic groups have organized a Feb. 3 meeting to talk about some of today’s buzzwords in education: “standards,” “testing” and “accountability.”
The League of Women Voters of North Orange County, the American Assn. of University Women and the Parent Teacher Assn. invite the public to attend the 7 p.m. meeting. Four county educators will discuss and try to answer questions such as whether the new standards will help kids do better and whether teaching the basics will improve low scores.
The meeting will be at Buena Park City Council chambers, 6650 Beach Blvd. Information: (714) 254-7440.
