ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa provider of computer network-connection products posted second quarter net income of $440,000, or 7 cents a share, which included a gain of $777,000 from the sale of the company’s former manufacturing facility in Puerto Rico, and additional consolidation charges of $1.1 million related to such items as severance costs. A year ago, the company earned $1.1 million, or 18 cents a share. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 27 was up 1% to $15.7 million from $15.5 million.
