The Fullerton School District this week approved with a 4-1 vote a tentative agreement with the Fullerton Elementary Teachers Assn. to increase teacher salaries 4.7% this year and 2.3% next year. Trustee Kim Guth cast the only dissenting vote, saying the district’s priorities should be funding school development projects. The rest of the trustees said the raises were well deserved. “I think it’s really important to pay our teachers,” Trustee Hilda Sugarman said.
