The Recreation and Park District is still accepting applications for booths at the 1999 Cypress Community Festival on July 24. The festival, which will be held at Oak Knoll Park, includes a 5K/10K run, arts and crafts booths, rides, the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and a chili cook-off. The festival usually draws 22,000 people, according to organizers. Those interested in reserving a booth can pick up applications at the Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. The deadline is Friday.
