BENICIA --This Bay Area town--and onetime state capital--hosts the Waterfront Festival next weekend, July 30-Aug. 1, with powerboat races (racing trials on Saturday, finals at 1 p.m. Sunday), entertainment (including Get Back Beatlemania), micro-beer and wine tasting, children’s rides, food and arts and crafts. 5-10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. SAN DIEGO --For another taste of Latin America, visit the historic Bazaar del Mundo in Old Town during the Latin American Festival, Aug. 6-8.
