Race-Violence Claims Prompt FBI Inquiry

The FBI has taken over an investigation into alleged beatings of Latino residents by a private security firm that employs some off-duty Nashville police officers, a police spokesman said. The FBI agreed to intervene following an investigation by a police task force into the alleged abuses “substantiates that possible civil rights violations did occur,” police spokesman Don Aaron said.
