In the other Division II semifinal:
Troy 13, Beverly Hills 5--Troy’s doubles teams decided the match, with all three teams sweeping their sets. Troy’s No. 1 doubles team of Lori Judd and Stacey Lee won, 6-0, 6-3, 6-0, to remain undefeated this season at 56-0.
In Division III:
Laguna Hills 10, Palm Desert 8--Laguna Hills’ doubles teams swept nine sets to advance the Hawks to the finals.
The No. 1 team of Jamie Lautenschleger and Megan Davies won, 7-5, 6-0, 6-1; the No. 2 team of Tricia Lee and Michelle Ehrensberger won, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, and the No. 3 team of Erina Hung and Jen Hertz won, 7-3 (7-6), 6-1, 6-1. The Hawks play Carpinteria Cate, which defeated Santa Maria St. Joseph. Laguna Hills is 13-6.
North Hollywood Harvard Westlake 14, Santa Margarita 4--Stephanie Berg led the Wolverines as she swept her No. 1 sets and helped eliminate Santa Margarita.
In Division V:
Laguna Beach 12, Brentwood 6--Ashley Maddocks swept, 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, and Lindsey Butterwick won, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0, to lead visiting Laguna Beach (13-8).
Meghan MacGillivray and Caitlin McMahon teamed to win two of three sets, 5-7, 7-0, 6-1, for the Artists, who play Carpinteria Cate in the final on Monday.
Last year, Laguna Beach defeated Cate in the championship game, 12-6.
