Ventura Employee of the Year Named

Will Santoyo, a customer service lead worker with Ventura’s Public Works Department, was selected the 1999 City of Ventura Employee of the Year. Candidates for the award are chosen by colleagues based on exceptional teamwork, skills, enthusiasm and productivity.
Charitable Community Fund Awards Grants
The Charitable Community Fund has announced the recipients of its grant program, which is administered by the Ventura County Community Foundation.
Grants were awarded to D.A.R.E., $2,000; Ventura County Discovery Center, $2,500; Senior Concerns, $5,000; St. Paschal Baylon Church, $1,000; Temple Adat Elohim, in memory of Irv Wasserman, $2,000; Calvary Community Church, $1,500; Many Mansions, $1,000.
