In an attempt to persuade city officials to install Internet filtering systems on the computers in the children’s library, about seven parents and community activists picketed the Mission Viejo Library on Saturday.
The protesters carried signs that said “Stop Kids’ Library Porn Access” and “Protect Kids Filter Library Internet Porn” and handed out fliers asking residents to support Councilman John Paul Ledesma’s proposal to place filters on the Internet terminals that children can access.
Ledesma proposed the installment of filters at the Oct. 18 meeting of the City Council.
The council will vote on the proposal at its Dec. 6 meeting.
