The City Council approved an agreement last week to allow local businesses to advertise on nonemergency city vehicles.
Revenue generated from the Signs of Support program will be used for youth recreation programs, special events and scholarships offered through the Beaches, Parks and Recreation Department.
Under the agreement, the city will receive 50% of the monthly revenue generated by the ads, or an estimated $15,000 a year.
