VALLEY ROUNDUP : Canoga Park : Police Arrest Suspect in Weekend Slaying

A former Los Angeles resident was booked on suspicion of murder Tuesday in connection with a weekend slaying in front of a Canoga Park condominium complex, Los Angeles police said.
Tommy Lawson Lynex, 31, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at a friend’s home in the 3400 block of West 77th Street, according to Los Angeles Police Det. Mike Oppelt.
Lynex is accused of fatally shooting Steven Anthony Parsee, 19, who was found lying in the street in the 8600 block of International Avenue in Canoga Park at 10:14 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities said the victim was shot several times in the upper body.
He later was pronounced dead at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Oppelt said.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting as well as a possible motive, Oppelt said.
