Unhappy with the city’s current Web site, Councilman Robert McGowan recently suggested that the City Council put out bids for a professional to update and maintain the site during the next year. McGowan said the Web site is “just as important as cable TV” as a communication tool, yet its design lacks vibrancy and information is rarely updated. McGowan is expected to create standards for the future site, which the council will vote on at its next meeting. Afterward, the council will solicit bids.
