Irvine-based Javelin Systems Inc. said it acquired Restaurant Consulting Services Inc. for $3 million in cash.
Javelin said it may be required to pay an additional $1.5 million in cash and issue common shares with a value of $1.5 million based on the financial performance of Restaurant Consulting in the next two fiscal years.
Restaurant Consulting Services, with revenue of $4.3 million for the year ended June 30, is an access-service provider for the chain-restaurant industry.
Javelin, with revenue of $29.7 million in 1998, is a food service-technology company.
