For the fifth consecutive year, California Lutheran University was listed as one of the top regional colleges in the West in the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings.
Cal Lutheran, a private university in Thousand Oaks, was ranked 23rd on the list, released by the magazine this week.
“The university is pleased to be consistently ranked among the top institutions in the Western United States,” said Marc Meredith, Cal Lutheran director of admissions.
About 1,800 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students attend Cal Lutheran. The magazine ranked colleges based on several factors, including academic reputation, student-faculty ratio and alumni giving.
Trinity University in Texas, Santa Clara University near San Jose and Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles were ranked first, second and third, respectively.
