The City Council will decide whether to ask for new bids on the Metrolink rail station project during its meeting tonight.
About $2.5 million was allotted for the project, most of which would come from state grants that expire in June. The lowest bid so far for the project--a joint effort between the city and Mission Viejo--was $2 million over budget, and leaders from both cities have been struggling to find ways to fund the station.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 27841 La Paz Road.
