Our country is changing. We see small articles in the paper, hear sound bites on the 6 o’clock news. We are losing our freedom. But it happens so quickly, without fanfare, that it is getting by us.
Do we think that because this is happening a little at a time it will never change what it means to live in the land of the free?
Compton resident Mario Paz suffered a death sentence without a jury trial. Tomorrow it could be any one of us.
