With the start of the school year, youth outreach specialist Theresa Ospina has once again begun helping Stanton fifth- and sixth-grade disturbed or maladjusted children at Hansen Elementary School.
Ospina conducts small group sessions at Hansen four times a week to teach children how to solve problems rather than act out their frustrations. She says success varies, but in past years she has seen children mature as the school year progresses. Information: (714) 379-9222, Ext. 289.
