Garden Grove Man, Struck by Car, Dies

A 69-year-old Garden Grove man died Monday night when he was hit by a car as he tried to cross a busy city street, police said.
Police said Patricio Diaz was killed when he tried to cross Trask Avenue near Sorrell Street about 9:42 p.m. He died at the scene.
Tan Lai, 20, of Santa Ana was driving the black Acura Integra that hit Diaz and was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. Police called the death accidental. No charges were filed.
