A Buena Park man was arrested Friday after firing a gun at a co-worker after a dispute in their company’s parking lot in Fullerton, police said.
Investigators gave this account of the incident: Joel Rodriguez, 26, quarreled with his colleague early Friday morning, then followed him to his car. After another argument, Rodriguez took out a gun and leaned inside the car of the co-worker, who tried to back the vehicle away. Rodriguez then fired the gun, piercing the dashboard, but no one was injured.
Rodriguez then fled in his car and was arrested at his home in Buena Park, said Joe Klein, spokesman for the Fullerton Police Department.
He was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail at Fullerton City Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
