The City Council is expected to award contracts to two firms today to assist the city in acquiring expansion rights and to help with design of the project to widen Crown Valley Parkway from Puerto Real to Jardines.
The city would pay Overland Resources $79,050 to help obtain right-of-way, utility, maintenance and construction easements from 17 property owners along the parkway.
An additional $19,500 would be awarded to Petra Geotechnical to act as a consultant on matters such as grading requirements and design parameters for retaining walls along the street.
