Defenseman Patrick Traverse and the Mighty Ducks agreed Monday on a one-year contract worth $550,000, the result of an arbitrator’s decision in Toronto.
Traverse, 26, joined the Ducks after a June 12 trade from the Ottawa Senators. He had six goals and 23 points in 66 games last season for the Senators. He earned $227,500 in 1999-2000, his second full NHL season.
Right wing Ladislav Kohn has an arbitration hearing Wednesday and center Antti Aalto has one scheduled for Sunday.
In addition, restricted free agents Matt Cullen and Oleg Tverdovsky must be re-signed by the start of training camp Sept. 9, General Manager Pierre Gauthier’s self-imposed deadline.
