Laguna Hills Mall will host the 2000 Simon Youth Foundation and AmeriCheer Cheerleading Championships on Sept. 30.
The event will be held in 27 Simon malls across the nation that will advance teams to the national competition in April 2001. The championships are open to all individual competitors or recreational leagues, and high school, junior high and elementary teams.
Entry fees are $12 per person or team. Participants will also be encouraged to enter the fund-raising challenge to benefit the Simon Youth Foundation, which focuses on youth career development through educational programs.
