Marine Dies After Live-Fire Training Exercise in N.C.

BOWLING GREEN, Va. — A U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., died Monday, apparently from shrapnel wounds he received during a live-fire training exercise at Fort A.P. Hill, officials at the U.S. Army base said.
The Marine, whose name was withheld pending notification of his family, was a member of the 3rd Battalion of the 6th Marine Corps Regiment of the 2nd Marine Division.
