In a consolation game at the Magnolia tournament:
La Habra 1, El Monte Arroyo 0--Chelsea Kienzle scored an unassisted goal from eight yards out in the 60th minute to win it for visiting La Habra (6-1).
Goalie Breanna Truelove had five saves for the Highlanders.
In nonleague girls’ soccer:
Costa Mesa 1, Laguna Hills 0--Sophomore forward Sharon Day scored in the 20th minute and Chelsea Soria made 12 saves for visiting Costa Mesa (3-2). Laguna Hills is 3-3-1.
In the Covina Western Christian tournament:
La Canada Flintridge Prep 2, Orange Lutheran 1--Orange Lutheran’s Nicole Johnson scored in the final minute of the first half to cut Flintridge Prep’s lead to 2-1, but the Lancers couldn’t get any closer. Laura Miklos made 12 saves for Orange Lutheran (7-2-1).
In nonleague boys’ soccer:
Bell Gardens 3, Loara 2--The host Saxons jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead on the strength of goals by Christian Rus and Noe Mondragon, but Bell Gardens (3-1) came back to score three consecutive goals late in the match to win. Loara is 1-2.
Corona del Mar 4, Calvary Chapel 2--Julien Cerutti scored two goals and Brett Luchesi and Danny Marshall had one each for visiting Corona del Mar, which led, 3-0, at the half. Spencer MacDonald had six saves for the Sea Kings (1-3).
No. 9 Edison 3, Katella 1--David Clifford and Joey Balbas scored first-half goals to give Edison a 2-1 halftime lead, and Miguel Ochoa added another goal in the second half for the Chargers (2-0-2).
Huntington Beach 2, Santa Ana 1--Drew McAthy scored the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute for Huntington Beach (6-0). Alex Maddocks gave the visiting Oilers a 1-0 lead with a first-half goal. Santa Ana is 2-3-1.
La Habra 4, La Mirada 1--Jose Jaramillo scored two second-half goals for La Habra, which led, 1-0, at the half. Alvino Vasquez and Armando Guerra also scored goals for the Highlanders (4-2-1).
Magnolia 7, La Quinta 1--Carlos Sanchez had two goals and five others scored one each for visiting Magnolia (3-1-1), which led, 2-0, at halftime.
Cameron Blanchard had the lone goal for La Quinta.
No. 2 Mater Dei 2, Savanna 0--Forwards Randy Poggio and Ruben Rosales scored for visiting Mater Dei, while junior goalkeeper Nate Pena made eight saves for the Monarchs (6-0-1).
Savanna is 1-1-3.
No. 4 Santa Margarita 2, Temecula Valley 0--Christian Hanson and Mike Losordo scored first-half goals and goalie Erick Foss made six saves and got his seventh shutout of the season for host Santa Margarita (7-1).
Valencia 3, Sunny Hills 1--Rigo Flores’ second-half goal was the game-winner for Valencia (3-3). Joey Pulido and Carlos Plascencia also scored for the Tigers.
