As Valentine’s Day Nears, Pulpits Turn to Love and Vows

Love is the topic of many events at local religious institutions this weekend leading up to Valentine’s Day. Here’s a rundown of some events for lonely hearts and couples.
At University Synagogue, a workshop for interfaith couples will be held at 9:30 a.m. today.
Rabbi Arnold Rachlis will discuss raising children and celebrating holidays in interfaith relationships.

The South Shores Church in Dana Point will sponsor a viewing of “A Vow To Cherish,” a film by Billy Graham, at 7 p.m. Sunday that will focus on enriching a marriage and family relationships. Child care is available by reservation.

A workshop called “The Five Love Languages” offering advice on intimacy and relationships will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. along with a potluck at St. Peters by the Sea Presbyterian Church, 16871 Bolsa Chica St. in Huntington Beach.
