Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has named longtime volunteer and board member Barbara Thomas chief executive officer of the charitable organization. Thomas will be responsible for overall organization, long-term planning and community relations for the Orange County chapter. Habitat for Humanity uses donated materials and volunteer labor to build homes for qualified low-income families. The Orange County chapter has built 81 homes since 1988. Information: (714) 434-6200.
