Ari Haniel Cortes, a fifth-grader at Cielo Vista Elementary School, was one of five winners in the Plant a Tree contest for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District.
Ari drew a picture reflecting the contest’s slogan, “Plant Across America.”
In honor of Ari’s success, the district will plant a tree at Cielo Vista Elementary.
The other winners attend other elementary schools in the district.
