The local chapter of the American Assn. of University Women honored Barbara Benson as its 2000 Woman of Distinction at a tea last week. Benson served for 25 years on the Tustin school board and has held positions on the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission and the county’s School Boards Assn. She is president of the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts.
