Benefit Run-Walk Set at Paramount Back Lot

To help promote the release of a collector’s edition of “Forrest Gump” (a character who, you may recall, liked to run), Paramount Home Entertainment is sponsoring a 5K run-walk through the studio’s back lot on Aug. 26.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the run-walk commencing at 11 a.m. It will be followed by a lunch party on the lot at 5555 Melrose Ave. in Hollywood.
Cost is $45 for adults, $30 for children under 12 (reduced by $5 if registration is completed before Monday). Proceeds will benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
