Man, 86, Riding Bike Fatally Hit by Car

A bicyclist was killed Friday when a car struck him, police said.
Hong Sup Kim, 86, of Garden Grove was riding his bike westbound on Garden Grove Boulevard and had turned onto Yockey Street heading south, investigators said. As he changed lanes, he was hit by a car, police said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he died at 2:30 p.m.
The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was not cited, police said. Garden Grove police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
