A 50-year-old Pasadena man was killed at his workplace when a big-rig truck backed into him in the parking lot of a stove manufacturing company in Pacoima, authorities said.
Zaven Demirjian was leaving the American Range factory at 13592 Desmond St. at 11:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. The driver of the truck allegedly did not see Demirjian and pinned him against a dock, Los Angeles Police Officer Michael Edmonson said.
Demirjian died on his way to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Edmonson said he was an assistant to his brother, who owns the company. The driver of the truck was not charged, but an investigation is underway, authorities said.
