Cal State Northridge 95, Cal State Sacramento 82--Northridge made nine of its first 10 shots and never trailed in a battle of the Big Sky Conference’s best and worst teams at Sacramento.
Northridge (9-6, 2-0), picked to win the conference, built an 18-point first-half lead.
Brian Heinle and John Burrell each scored 27 points for Northridge. Jeff Parris added 24 points and nine rebounds.
Heinle, a 6-10 senior center, had 12 rebounds to record his seventh double-double and fourth in five games.
Pablo Gonzales had 25 points for Sacramento (3-9, 0-2).
