Saddleback Rolls Past Orange Coast

Scott Cheo homered, doubled and drove in three runs to lead Saddleback to a 15-2 victory over Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference baseball game Saturday at Saddleback.

Cheo also singled twice for the Gauchos (15-4, 4-2) and Vinny Valiente had three hits, including a double, drove in two runs and scored four.

Orange Coast fell to 13-5, 3-3.

In other conference games:

Cypress 13, Irvine Valley 1--Jeff Ruziecki hit his fifth home run and drove in two runs for Cypress (14-5, 4-2).

Riverside 9, Fullerton 5--Fullerton (3-2-1, 9-7) scored four runs in the second inning, then gave up nine unanswered runs over the next six innings.

Santa Ana 18, Golden West 6--Santa Ana scored 10 times in the first three innings.

Cypress 6, Victor Valley 5--Angelina Morlet had a single and two RBIs for host Cypress (5-5).
