Fashion designer Randolph Duke, a regular on Hollywood red carpets, recently sent stunner after stunner from his fall 2001 line down the Oriental rugs that lined the Balinese garden paths of Tony Duquette’s Beverly Hills house.
He credited “style iconoclasts” and “the affable, independent spirit of my favorite women” with inspiring his collection of bugle-beaded beauties, pin-tucked pinstriped suits and dresses.
Duke’s creations could well appear at an awards show soon, particularly the cleverly gathered jewel-toned silk gowns that seemed a perfect match for Duquette’s chunky gems.
