* Re “Bush Picks 3 for European Ambassadorships,” March 21. How pathetic is our country that we let the president even think about assigning his buddy and former baseball team owner Mercer Reynolds to become an ambassador? Taxpayers will be paying this guy, who has no business and no experience in this line of work, to do nothing but live off the fat of the land. They don’t even have baseball in Switzerland.
