Mann, Climan Form Film and TV Company

Director Michael Mann is forming a new film and television company with former Creative Artists Agency and Universal Studios Inc. executive Sandy Climan.
The two said that Forward Pass Inc. will produce as many as three films a year, along with TV programs and unspecified other entertainment ventures. Financing arrangements were not announced.
Mann is director of the upcoming “Ali,” starring Will Smith. His other credits include the films “Heat,” “Last of the Mohicans,” “The Insider” and producing the TV series “Miami Vice.”
Climan worked as a top executive at CAA from 1986 to 1995, and from 1997 to 1999. He formerly was an executive vice president at Universal Studios and most recently has been managing director of Entertainment Media Ventures.
