Korea Service Medal, 3 Navy Projects Approved

The House of Representatives approved a bill by Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) that would award a Korea Defense Service Medal to armed forces members who served in Korea after the armistice was signed in July 1953.
The bill was included in the National Defense Authorization Act, which also approves $29.9 million for three Navy projects in Ventura County. It passed the House on Tuesday on a 398-17 vote.
