Vigilante Mother Could Get 13 Years in Drug Case

Vigilante mother Ellie Nesler, who fatally shot her son’s accused molester in court eight years ago, faces a stiff sentence if convicted on drug charges.
Nesler is being prosecuted as a second-time offender under the state’s three-strikes rule, meaning that her sentence could be doubled.
Nesler, 49, was arrested Monday on suspicion of trying to buy methamphetamine-making supplies from an undercover agent. If convicted, she could face 13 years in prison. During a court appearance Thursday, Nesler said the charges were bogus.
