Man Stabbed to Death at Party; 2 Others Hurt

Police were searching for an assailant who stabbed a man to death and seriously injured two others during a house party early Saturday.
Just after midnight, a man arrived at the house in the 900 block of Breton Avenue and began arguing with several guests before stabbing the victims and running away, authorities said.
Randy Lucero, a 21-year-old Simi Valley carpenter, was pronounced dead at 12:48 a.m. at Simi Valley Hospital.
Ryan E. Kramer, 22, of Simi Valley, had a stab wound to the chest and was admitted to Simi Valley Hospital. Michael P. Ponticelli, 26, also of Simi Valley, was treated at a Thousand Oaks hospital for a stab wound to his side and released.
The suspect is described as white, 18 to 20 years old with short brown hair, about 5 feet 7 and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt with a large V and the word Ventura printed underneath it.
The motive was unknown.
