7 Beached Whales Die; Last 2 Are Sick

Seven of nine whales that beached themselves along the Florida Panhandle have died, and the others are ailing, officials in Panama City Beach said.
Three pilot whales died of unknown natural causes after becoming stranded Thursday, and four were euthanized.
Two survivors were being fed liquid treatments and given antibiotics at Gulf World Marine Park. One had improved slightly, but both are still quite ill, said Cheryl Joyner, coordinator for strandings at Gulf World.
