Flag Etiquette
The American flag was never intended to be flown from automobile antennas and windows until it is torn and tattered. Those doing so need to remove the flag when it gets into such a condition and before it is blown off their automobiles onto the roadway to be run over by other vehicles. It is good to be patriotic and fly the flag, but these people need to show the respect and dignity our flag deserves as the symbol of our great country. This also goes for those who fly the flag in front of their homes and then leave it out all night instead of bringing it in at sundown or shining a light on it during the night.
