At Least 1 Dies, Homes Destroyed in Tornadoes

Tornadoes ripped across the coasts of Alabama and Florida, destroying homes and knocking out power. At least one person died and three were injured.
By Sunday, power had been restored to all but about 1,000 households in Florida’s western Panhandle. About 20,400 households in the area had lost power Saturday during the storm that overturned cars and downed power lines.
In Rosinton, Ala., David N. Irwin, 63, was killed when a large limb from a tree hit his windshield, Baldwin Coroner Huey Mack Sr. said.
