Organizers of the fourth annual Southern California Kinetic Sculpture Race in Ventura are inviting political candidates from throughout the county for an official “mud-slinging” moment during this year’s race.
The race, in which souped-up, people-powered vehicles compete through an obstacle course over mud, through sand, and on the water, will be held Saturday at Ventura Harbor.
The race is open to the public, with activities beginning at 8 a.m. at Anchors Way and Schooner drives. The race begins at 10 a.m.
