Siberian Airlines said it will sue Ukraine for damages in the crash of its passenger jet that was brought down by a Ukrainian missile, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.
The Russian airline wants $10 million for the plane and search-and-rescue operations, plus unspecified compensation for damage to its reputation, company spokesman Mikhail Koshman said.
The jet was over the Black Sea when it crashed Oct. 4, killing all 78 people aboard. Officials determined that a missile fired during exercises accidentally hit the jet.
