Los Angeles firefighters knocked down a 3-acre vegetation fire Sunday in a rugged part of Griffith Park near the Griffith Observatory, authorities said.
The blaze, reported to authorities about 3 p.m., was put out in less than 90 minutes, said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Brush and grass were consumed by the flames, but no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported, Humphrey said.
