Boxer to Request Funds to Study Cancer Rates

Sen. Barbara Boxer says she will push Congress for $1.5 million to help figure out what’s causing what appear to be elevated breast cancer rates in Marin County.
Boxer also said she would ask the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Cancer Institute and the Environmental Protection Agency for a staff worker to help research efforts and map toxic sites.
