Build More Homes to Lower Home Prices

Re “Yorba Linda Seeks to Rescind Development Vote,” Dec. 5:
On one hand, we have property prices skyrocketing in Orange County, presumably due to a dearth of housing in the face of increasing population. On the other hand, we have the Yorba Linda City Council trying to stall the development of about 1,000 homes. Does that make sense?
We have to wake up and realize that the only way to stop paying over $700,000 for a house in Yorba Linda is to build more homes, at whatever cost. All other environmental issues can be dealt with if development proceeds cautiously and conscientiously.
